OPEN CALL FOR A PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR IN COMPUTATIONAL, SYSTEMS AND INTEGRATIVE BIOLOGY

The TAGC laboratory (Theories and Approaches of Genomic Complexity / UMR 1090), invites applications for a Principal Investigator position in its main research areas: computational, network or systems biology, and functional or disease genomics.
The TAGC is a joint interdisciplinary research unit of INSERM and Aix-Marseille University focused on understanding the functional architecture of the genome and deciphering complex biological networks. The TAGC offers a diverse, inclusive and stimulating scientific environment, and provides access to state-of-the-art facilities for genomics and computer resources, as well as shared
molecular biology and bioinformatics expertise. Located at the Luminy Campus, the TAGC benefits from close links with university hospitals and other CNRS and INSERM labs; it is also affiliated to the MarMaRa, ICI, CENTURI, IPCV and IFB federative institutes.

Candidates will be selected based on international scientific excellence and potential synergy with existing themes, following an inclusive, transparent and unbiased recruitment. Candidates might already hold an academic position from Inserm or Aix-Marseille University or should apply for it.
They should meet the criteria to obtain national and international grant funding. Candidates developing new concepts, disruptivemethodologies or innovative/high-risk-projects are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate(s) will receive dedicated laboratory space and strong institutional support from the TAGC. Successful junior or senior candidates will be granted autonomy to lead their research. Junior PI will benefit from a mentoring program that includes lab-management training, assistance with grant applications to French and international funding agencies, and structured
follow-up to support and boost the PI's scientific activity.

How to apply:
• A one-page summary, four-page research proposal, brief CV and publications list to be
sent to direction.tagc@inserm.fr.
• Applicants should include the names and contact information of at least two references.
Deadline: applications are accepted until December 30, 2026
