Every year, during the week of the Fête de la Science, members of the laboratory (PhD students, faculty staff, researchers and engineers) are present for 3 days at the Village des Sciences in the city of Marseille. We offer several complementary workshops that illustrate our research approaches in a simple way: macroscopic observation of fruit flies (a fundamental study model for genetics and physiology) under a binocular magnifying glass, laboratory-style experiments to visualise DNA (extracted from bananas) and a demonstration of bioinformatics tools for predicting and analysing differences in our genome.
